I'm not really going to be posting anymore. I wrote this when I was like 9 or something like that, but I'm just not all that interested in crane machines anymore. These tips can still help you, so be sure to check them out :)

The dreaded red button

Have you ever had a bad experience :( with that red button? I have too. Some people press that red button by accident once they put in that quarter and all the claw does is go down into the chute and come back up then opening again. You get annoyed, angry, and sad. Here are my tips on trying NOT to press that dreaded red button.

  1. Don't lean forward to see what you want.(You might hit the button with your body)
  2. Don't press it until you absolutely know what you want.
  3. Just try NOT to press it!!!
So, try this and have some good :) experiences with a crane machine near you.

Timer

Hi!
I bet there's a timer on a crane machine near you right? Well depending on how long it gives you, this will help you.

15 sec.- you see this on many plush crane machines. Well, when you know you only have 15 seconds, you should choose what you are going to try to get before you play. When you put in your coins you should take about 5-7 seconds to align the claw with what you are getting, take 3-5 seconds to check, and take the rest of the time to make sure again and press the button.
30 sec.- this time is for the bigger crane machines. It is a very generous amount of time and for this, you should take 5 seconds to find what you want, 10 seconds to align the claw, 10 seconds to check, and 5 seconds to release the claw.
45 sec.- this is pretty much the most time you can get. Take 5-7 seconds to find what you want, 10 seconds to align the claw, 10 seconds to check, and take the rest of the time to see if you want anything different and align/check it.

Hope this helps!

Crane Machine Tips Continued

Hello again!
Here are some other tips I haven't mentioned in my last post.
  1. When catching the plush look on the side so that you can make sure that the claw is in the right place.
  2. You want to try to grab around the "belly" of the plush so you can get a good grip on the plush. It also increases your chances to win.
  3. Never grab a plush that you like if it's feet are sticking up. It is very hard to get these.
  4. When looking for the right crane machine, look for one that has new plush. Usually these are stacked so that you can pretty much reach the top plush. Don't drop the claw on the the one you want. You should get the claw around the top plush and pull down. Hopefully it will drop into the chute along with some other plush and other objects. You can see this on a video by matt3756 on youtube.
  5. Don't use the jumbo plush crane. They have a computer chip in it that tells it that it should drop it or not. They don't really have that strong of a grip. They are so much harder.

Crane Machine Tips

Hi!
Crane machines... I'm sure your daughter or son wants to play them at a mall or arcade. They usually don't win right? Well here are some tips to help them win.

1. When you go up to the crane machine you should always pick ones that are on the surface. If they are wedged in, the claw will almost NEVER grab it strong enough.

2. Many claw machines have a smaller claw than the plush in it themselves. The plush is very appealing, though many kids don't realize that they can't get it because of the small claw. So, before you play one, always check that the claw is BIG enough!

3. Do you always see the same plush every time you go there? That means that a lot of people have not won on this crane machine.
